Also called Palais Bourbon, this building was built from 1722 to 1728, then enlarged from 1764 to the Revolution. Awarded to the Five-hundred Council in 1795, a room of the sessions was built and inaugurated in 1798. It became afterward the seat of the Legislative Body, then the Chamber of Deputies, And finally of the National Assembly.
The domes of the library were realized by Delacroix.
