The Museum of the Army has been created in 1905 and was born after the fusion of the Museum of Artillery and the historical Museum of the Army. It celebrated its centenary in 2005 Among its most prestigious collections, we can evocate ancient weapons and armors (the third collections in the world by its importance), the small models of artillery (unique in the world), and an exceptional set of XIXth century pieces relative to Napoleon the 1st and marshals of Empire. The Museum of the Army is one of the most important museums of military and art museum in the world. The Dôme of Invalides shelters since 1862 the tomb of Napoleon the 1st.

Hours Opened every day of the year, except 1st Monday of every month and January 1st, May 1st, November 1st and December 25th. Opened from 10 am till 5 pm, from October 1st till March 31st and from 10 am till 6 pm, from April 1st till September 30th.

A unique ticket gives access to the Museum, Napoleon tomb, temporary exposures, Museum of Plans-relieves and to the Museum of the Order of the Liberation.
An audio guide presenting the Dôme Church and the Napoleon’s tomb is available in 8 languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Chinese. Free for full or reduced rate visitors, 0,5 € for free visitors.
