National Galleries of the Grand Palais

Edified from 1897 to 1900 on the occasion of the World Fair in Paris, the Grand Palais was at first a « monument dedicated to the French art glory by the Republic », as we can read it on its pediment. In 1964, André Malraux, then Ministry of the Culture, confided to Reynolds Arnould the care of transforming a part of the Grand Palais into galleries intended to present international prestigious temporary exposures: the first one, dedicated to the art of the countries of Black Africa, took place between June and August, 1966. The galleries of the Grand Palais then welcomed more than 250 exposures. The Reunion of the national museums (RMN) organized most of them. The Galleries imposed themselves as the most important place in the world for international exposures.

Cinema

If I make a movie that becomes a hit in the US, I know that I will become richer.
BUT if it works in France and especially in Paris, then I know that I made a good movie.
